We stumbled upon this fascinating album in an Antique and Collector’s Fair at Builth Wells a few days ago.
It is a rather uninteresting looking vinyl covered album, but inside, in the most wonderful calligraphic writing is a collection of 14 postcards (dating, I suspect, from the 1950’s or very early 1960’s) which are displayed along with their title (Mossdale, Buttermere, Ullswater etc.), and a small section of poetry.
This would be a fascinating gift for the Lakeland collector. Maybe the new owner might be motivated to complete the album in a similar fashion? Very modestly price – please contact us for further details.
