Posted on: October 23rd, 2009 | No Comments

The Letter BoxSeems strangely appropriate at the moment!

We have come across a lovely 1st (and I think, only) Edition copy of The Letter Box: A History of Post Office, Pillar and Wall Boxes by Jean Young Farrugia.

This was published by Centaur in 1969 and has a preface by Tony Benn.

Not price clipped, this is a Fine unmarked book in a handsome Very Good- Dust Jacket.

Available from us for only £35.

Series III (400 x 256)Moon Mountain Books are looking for a decent (doesn’t need to be pristine) Landy in which to drive around the Welsh Hills.

If you have one for sale, or know of one that is available, please do drop us a line.  We’d be delighted to hear from you.

An excellent later Series III, or an early 90 would fit the bill.  Although if you have a TDi powered beast you want to give away cheaply then please don’t be shy!

Many thanks.

Wayside & Woodland Fungi / Beatrix Potter 1967 1st Ed

FungiWe have a very nice copy of this excellent book which includes 59 of Beatrix Potter’s rare colour illustrations of Fungi.

Book is Very Good with some foxing to edges, minor bumping, but clean and tidy with no inscriptions.

Dust Jacket somewhat grubby, a little marked, price clipped (but with price sticker above cut) but complete and looks much better in the flesh than it sounds!  I’d describe it as at least Good + .

This desirable book is available for £92 to include insured UK Special Delivery.
